What a Winner! is a magazine story illustrated using photographs from the television series.

Plot

Thomas takes the children to the sports day event and learns that the Fat Controller has left the medals behind. Thomas races back and collect them in record time. When the children learn that Thomas saved the day, they ask the Fat Controller to give Thomas a medal.
