Hello, jenkins92 here, giving you my knowledge for various wikias. I will mainly be based at Thomas & Friends Wikia, but I will visit other wikias at anytime. I am a fan of many different phenomenons, particularly Thomas & Friends.
Highlights:
On Sunday 25th March 2012, I saw the SiF at the Severn Valley Railway, coming to see the railway's steam gala. I recognised Ryan, Loey Machan and Chris the Xelent straight away and I was absolutely amazed, I never thought I would spot them anywhere in my whole life. The amount of times I spotted them was amazing: first I spotted Ryan at Arley, next I saw most of the group miss the train I was on out of Bridgnorth, then I saw Chris the Xelent at Bewdley, photographing the train as passed by. They eventually got back to Kidderminster, later than they had hoped of course, but I never expected to see them cross the road in front of our car as we drove out of the car park. To Ryan, Chris the Xelent and the rest of the Sodor Island Forum who went to the Severn Valley Railway's steam gala, thank you making me such a happy day indeed.
On Friday 27th April 2012, I went to Stroud, Gloucestershire and paid a kind of pilgrimage to place where the Reverend Awdry lived from 1965 to the end of his life in 1997, of which you have probably seem in the Bookmark profile of the "Thomas the Tank Engine" man which was first broadcast celebrate Thomas' 50th Anniversary and then repeated to commemorate the passing of Wilbert Awdry. Of course, having no longer been the property of the Reverend Awdry for 15 years, some parts of the have changed over the years: the garden at the front of the house has been dug up (one half has had the wall removed and been filled with tar mac for a drive way and the other half is has been replaced with stones), the front gate has been removed, the front door has been replaced with a red wooden one with brass handles and the word SODOR has been removed from the window sill at the side of the door, but the plague with house number and the letters LMS still remain as I remember them. For obvious reasons I don't know what is actually inside the house now.
On Monday 14th May 2012, I went to Reading and discovered the house where the composer of "Thomas & Friends" (season 8 onwards) Robert Hartshorne lives. Passing by, I think I may have seen a silhouette of the man himself, going by his profile picture on ECG.com; he seeming to be moving about quite a bit, but whether the odd hand movements I saw were supposed to be practisings for the conducting his latest compositions I couldn't say.
On Sunday 19th August 2012, I won the Lucky Edit Award for making the 107,000th edit. I knew I could get one of those awards if I put my mind to it.
On Monday 8th October 2012, I found Gloucester Cemeteries & Crematorium where the late Wilbert Awdry's ashes were interred.
On Saturday 13th October 2012, I won the Lucky Edit Award for making the 121,000th edit.
On Monday 15th October 2012, I went up to Oxford and managed to track down Wycliffe Hall, where Wilbert Awdry gained his theology diploma in 1933.
On Friday 9th November 2012, I won the Lucky Edit Award for making the 127,000th edit.
On Sunday 2nd December 2012, I won the Lucky Edit Award for making the 132,000th edit.
On Thursday 14th February 2013, I won the Lucky Edit Award for making the 149,000th edit.
On Sunday 21st April 2013, I went to the Ffestiniog Railway in Wales. On the way back Porthmadog, I traveled back behind Merddin Emrys who was one of the engines that provided the inspiration for Mighty Mac.
On Tuesday 23rd April 2013, I went to the Snowdon Mountain Railway which inspired the creation of the Culdee Fell Railway. However, due to the ten foot blanket of snow that covered the mountain about a month before and which had not completely melted away from the trackside, Engine No. 11, Peris could not push her coach up to the Summit and hand to stop at Clogwyn as very often happens on this railway around this time of year. I didn't mind though; to be standing in the place which inspired Devil's Back Station was good enough for me. Whilst up there, I got a true sence of how Wilbert Awdry got his inspiration for the Railway Series book "Mountain Engines", particually for the third chapter, "Danger Points". On the way back down, coming into the station at Llanberis, I saw engines No. 4 Snowdon (basis of Culdee) and No. 6 Padarn (basis of Lord Harry) standing on a siding together and next to them was No. 5 Moel Siabod (basis of Shane Dooiney) waiting to be put back together again. I also caught a glipse of No. 3 Wyddfa (basis of Wilfred) standing nearst to the door of the shed.
