Trivia

  • Despite the distributor's name change to Strand Home Video, the Strand VCI Entertainment logo is featured on the 1992 release. This is likely because it was initially completed before the company's name change.
  • This release is the first of many things:
  • This is the only release to include a few things:
    • One of two VHS releases (and the only DVD) to feature Mavis' nameboard.
    • The only US release to feature entirely third series episodes.
    • The only George Carlin-narrated VHS to feature the Strand VCI Entertainment logo on the tape.
    • The only US release to have Cheltenham Bold title cards.
  • This is the last VHS release to feature the Strand VCI Entertainment logo on the tape.
  • Some Time-Life editions were packaged with a copy of the Percy's Promise Buzz Book.
  • Some of the 1995 Anchor Bay tapes feature the Britt Allcroft logo or the Strand VCI Entertainment logo instead of the Video Treasures logo. The 1995 release featuring the 1992 Strand Home Video styled program contains the Video Treasures logo.
  • In 1995, Anchor Bay Entertainment released a new master of the tape similar to that of the first release of Thomas Gets Bumped and Other Stories, featuring bold type Rockwell fonts instead of italic. The nameboard sequences feature do not feature Mavis, Harold or Trevor's nameboards. The English soundtracks overlap. The overlapping restores music and sound effects originally not present in the US version of some episodes, including the ending theme in Mavis and music from Percy's Promise.
  • Some 2000 Anchor Bay Entertainment copies came with a blue VHS tape and the 1995 VHS label.
  • Along with the 2003 release of Thomas, Percy and the Dragon and Other Stories, the 2003 VHS was originally copyrighted in late 2002, as evidenced by the Gullane logo on the spine. However, it was not released until February 2003, at the same time as the release of Percy's Chocolate Crunch and Other Thomas Adventures. These two re-releases were the last time to feature the Gullane logo on the spine.
  • The 2004 VHS label uses the title "Trust Thomas & Other Adventures."
  • The 2007 DVD cover uses a modified version of the 2003 VHS cover in which Mavis' pupils are slightly moved down.
  • Apart from Toby's Tightrope and Henry's Forest, the DVD does not use the entire program master. Instead, it reuses episodes from the following releases:
  • The entire master source was used for the Netflix and Starz releases.

Goofs

  • The soundtrack to Trust Thomas is warped on the 1992 release.
  • On the VHS with the 1992 program, the Britt Allcroft logo jerks to the left. This is corrected on later releases.
  • Both the 1992 and 1995 back covers mis-copyright the film as 1985 and 1986, and the soundtrack as 1989, but both the film and the soundtrack were made in 1991.
  • The last few seconds of Mavis are cut out on the 1992 release. This is restored on the 1995 echoed Anchor Bay Entertainment VHS.
  • On some 1999 tape labels, Britt Allcroft is misspelled as "Beth Allcroft."
  • The DVD release has Percy's Promise out of sync as it was taken from Thomas and His Friends Help Out.
  • The DVD captions refer to "On, On, On!" as "Un, Un, Un!"
  • Because the DVD has Mavis and The Trouble with Mud taken from 10 Years of Thomas, Mr. Conductor's whistle is briefly heard at the beginning of both.
