- “I may look old-fashioned but that makes me different!”
- ― Toby
Toby Takes Over is a magazine story.
Plot
James is going to have his picture painted by some schoolchildren. Toby wishes he could be in a picture painted by the children, but James tells him he is too old fashioned. Later, Toby meets Emily at the station. She was supposed to collect the children to take to James but the station sign had fallen on her and dented her funnel. Toby kindly offers to do her job. He and Henrietta collect the children who think Toby is very unusual. At the station, they tell their teacher that they would rather draw Toby because he looks special, much to James' dismay.
