“Thank you! I must come here more! Why, this is a sight I've not seen before!”

Toby's Treat is a short rhyming magazine story, illustrated using a photograph from the television series.

One day, Toby pulls into the quarry as a lorry full of stone arrives. Toby feels a little sad to see the load of stone; carrying stone is all he does and he would like to see something new. The quarry manager thinks for a moment and decides to throw Toby a party next time he arrives.

When Toby arrives back at the quarry, he sees something unusual. There are balloons and a cake and everyone is dancing. Toby thanks everyone for their effort and admits he's never seen anything like it before.
