Tidmouth Bay, also known as Castle Station, is a station nearby a castle on the Island of Sodor.

History

Once, a fair was organised here by Harry Topper. James took Mrs. Kyndley on a mystery tour to the fair as a special surprise, where she got to open the fair and had the first ride on the carousel.[1] Alicia Botti and the Sodor Brass Band have also been known to perform here.

Appearances

Trivia

  • Concept art from the fifth series shows that the station was originally to have a much different appearance and would have included a shed for Toby.
  • During the sixth series, this set was referred to as Castle Station. Signs were planned for the platforms, but never completed.
  • Oddly there is no body of water near this location despite having "Bay" in the location name.
    • Additionally, despite having "Tidmouth" in its name, the station is located far north of Tidmouth, inland and closer to Arlesburgh, on the 2014 series map.
  • Concept art for King of the Railway by Guru Studios shows that Tidmouth Bay would have appeared as the railway station for Ulfstead Castle. This was never used in the final special for unknown reasons.
    • Despite never appearing in the CGI series, a CGI model of the castle at Tidmouth Bay was created by Nitrogen Studios so that the "Island of Sodor" opening used since the eighth series could be recreated with the new CGI assets.
