- “Being Really Useful is the most fun of all!”
- ― Thomas
Thomas' Crazy Day is a magazine story illustrated using photographs from the CGI television series.
Plot
The Fat Controller instructs Thomas to show Bash, Dash and Ferdinand how to be Really Useful. Thomas is worried; he has already promised to play hide-and-seek with Percy. Thomas takes the Logging Locos to the Docks and quickly tells Cranky to tell the Logging Locos all about the Docks. Cranky is cross, but Thomas has already chuffed away.
Thomas soon meets up with Percy who goes to hide. But, whilst looking, Thomas starts to worry about the Logging Locos and leaves for the Docks. By the time Thomas reaches the Docks, he is tired. He decides that it isn't fair on the Logging Locos, Cranky or Percy and finally concludes that he can't do two things at once. He goes and finds Percy and the pair race back to the Docks. Together, the friends show the Logging Locos how to shunt trucks. Soon the job is done and Thomas decides that being really useful is the most fun of all.
