There are various different types of boats ranging from different sizes that have been seen around every harbour and seaside town.
These boats include dinghies, yachts, schooners, fishing boats, sailing boats, row boats, steam-boats, lifeboats and cargo boats.
Some dinghies are based on Eastport Prams, Skiff is also based on these.

Trivia
- The cruise ship in All at Sea is based on RMS Queen Elizabeth. The model was a 1/600 kit by Airfix and combines her Cunard hull livery and WW2 hospital ship funnels.
- The Ocean Liner seen in Meet the Steam Team: Percy is a reskin of S.S. Roxstar.
Paddle Steamer
A Paddle Steamer appears in the magazine story The Boatshow. It is based on a Phillip and Son, Co. paddle steamer. A real paddle steamer Kingswear Castle operates on the waters near the Paignton and Dartmouth Railway.

Speedboats (also known as motorboats) are a type of boat which is powered by an engine.
There is one speedboat that is based at a hut which rents speedboats. The Fat Controller and his grandchildren, Stephen and Bridget, once took a ride in it, but the ride was too bumpy for the Fat Controller's liking.

HMS Belfast
HMS Belfast is a World War II battleship moored by London Tower Bridge. Thomas passed it when he went to London to collect some important passengers.
