The Play Coach
  • Class: LB&SCR Stroudley coach
  • Designer: William Stroudley
  • Builder: Brighton Works
  • Built: 1897

The Play Coach is a carriage that was saved from scrap by Oliver and Thomas when they realised that some village children lived too far away to enjoy the vicar's playgroup at the church hall. She is now a Play Train that visits a different Sodor village every week. The children really enjoy its visits.

Basis

The Play Coach appears to be based on an LB&SCR four-wheeled coach, like Annie and Clarabel.

Livery

She is painted the same light-brown as Annie and Clarabel, but with "Humpty Dumpty" and "Little Bo Peep" on an awning hanging from its roof.
