Trivia

  • This book is based on The Railway Series story, The Flying Kipper.
  • Henry does not collide with a parked goods train in this story as he did in the original. Instead, the icy rails cause him to derail.

Goofs

  • Throughout the book, Henry's tender has only four wheels.
  • In the first illustration, Henry's number is on the side of his cab, rather than the side of his tender.
