Several tractors have been seen on the farms on Sodor
In the Railway Series book Tramway Engines, the angry farmer drove two blue tractors, one had a cab and the other was cab-less. In Small Railway Engines, Willie, the farm handler, drove a blue cab-less tractor.
In the television series, the sheep farm handler drove a blue cab-less tractor, it was introduced in the sixth season and had made frequent appearances since the twelfth season. Farmer McColl has also driven this tractor. When Useful Railway from Small Railway Engines was adapted into an episode, Willie's tractor was recoloured sea green.
The cab-less tractors are based on Ford 5000s tractors. Willie's tractor is another member of this class. The cab tractors are based on Ford 7810s.
One tractor is painted purple and the other green. Some tractors are also painted red.
- A cab-less tractor is currently on display at Drayton Manor.
- In Small Railway Engines, an orange cab-less tractor, strongly resembling Farmer Collett's tractor, appears.
