Dubious entry in goofs section
Edit
"In the final illustration Edward has branchline classification lights. " Uh-huh... What is this supposed to mean? His headlamp code (one lamp on smokebox iron) means "Stopping passenger train". Is there any reason this shouldn't just be deleted? ZeldaTheSwordsman 04:17, September 3, 2010 (UTC)
- None that I can think of. Thomasfan Peep! Peep! 14:18, September 3, 2010 (UTC)
Dalby
Edit
In what editions are the illustrations by Dalby? I've only ever seen Thomas Paine ones. SkarloeyRailway ...you will find two little engines called Skarloey and Rhaneas... 03:51, February 1, 2011 (UTC)
- I think only the first (maybe second) editions are by Paine. The reason you're confused is because Dalby only touched up Paine's work. This makes the two look very similar. Thomasfan Peep! Peep! 04:12, February 1, 2011 (UTC)
- Oh! I understand. Strangly, in all the books I have containing stories from Thomas the Tank Engine, no one is credited for the illustrations. SkarloeyRailway ...you will find two little engines called Skarloey and Rhaneas... 14:53, February 1, 2011 (UTC)
- I think Dalby is left uncredited so that Paine doesn't have to be. :P Strange, but that's what the reason is - I think. Thomasfan Peep! Peep! 15:45, February 1, 2011 (UTC)
Gordon goof?
Edit
I don't think Gordon having a Fowler tender or the LMS style running gear is a goof. After all, Gordon IS the LNER A0, the experimental A1 prototype, and was given a Stanier underbuild and Fowler tender...Jim 16:16, February 1, 2011 (UTC)
- You're probably right, Jim. I'll go and remove that "goof". Thomasfan Peep! Peep! 17:12, February 1, 2011 (UTC)
