Spooky Station is a magazine story.
Plot
The day before Halloween Percy and the Fat Controller set off on secret trips, and soon the engines catch on and get suspicious. The next day Thomas is getting ready to take the railway staff's children on a 'ghost train' ride. He sees Percy disappear again. During the trip Thomas takes the children to a small station on a loop line that has been decorated for a Halloween party. They find out that this is why Percy was continually disappearing, to help set it all up.
