Special Places is a magazine story.
Plot
Thomas shows Daisy her own special place, close to his branch line; a meadow full of daisies, which he calls Daisy's Meadow. The next day, while hauling a goods train with Duck, Thomas sees a duck pond and calls it Duck's Pond, which Duck agrees to. When Diesel hears about this, he scoffs at the idea of places being named after engines, but his teasing ends when Thomas shows him a special place of his own.
