Trivia

  • This was the first US VHS of two things:
  • This was the last sing-along VHS/DVD release ever made in the US.
  • Some VHS copies have the VHS/DVD trailer to Thomas' Sodor Celebration playing the new theme tune over the classic era theme tune.
  • Barney: A Perfectly Purple Day and Rubbadubbers: Deep Sea Reg were both on the same video as Bob the Builder: Getting the Job Done! DVD.
  • Despite being released in different regions, this DVD is complementary with Songs from Sodor, this release features the extended versions of Series 8 songs, while Songs from Sodor features the extended versions of the songs from Calling All Engines! (bar The Dream Song), Series 9 and Series 10 (with the exception of H is for Harold, which strangely uses the short version).
    • Because this release was never given a proper UK release (likely in favour of Songs from Sodor), the widescreen versions of the extended Series 8 music videos were never released.

Goofs

  • On the DVD back cover and disc, it says that the runtime is 120 minutes when it should be 40 minutes.
  • On the VHS/DVD back cover, the episodes are listed in reverse order.
  • On the Netflix cover, Percy's coupling is missing and his bufferbeam is oversized
