Snow on the Line is a rhyming magazine story.
The leaves are changing colour and falling from the trees and the days are much shorter which can only mean that winter is coming. Snow is falling, too. It covers the world in a white blanket. Children are pleased to see the snow and have fun building snowmen and going sledging.
A bit of snow does not effect the engines of Sodor, but they have to work harder than ever. The troublesome trucks are more grumpy, too and the points can freeze so the signalmen need to make sure they are freed. Thomas is out on the line clearing the snow with his snowplough and is kept very busy.
