- “Och! Hurray!”
- ―Donald and Douglas
Snow Chute is a rhyming magazine story.
Donald needs to fill up with coal. He steams over to the big chute where he has to wait to take his turn. Douglas is already waiting and after Murdoch has filled up, the hopper is empty. The Fat Controller tells the twins that they will fill up the chute in the morning and that Donald and Douglas could rest for the remainder of the day.
Overnight it snows heavily and Donald is determined to be first to the chute the following morning. So, early next morning, Donald creeps quietly to the chute. Unfortunately, the chute is filled with snow, not coal. The snow drops down onto Donald as Douglas laughs.
- In the final illustration, Douglas could be coloured in by the reader.
