- “Just watch me go! I'll get through! Keep your snowplough just for you!”
Slow for Snow is a short rhyming magazine story.
Wintertime means ice and snow which causes delays for the engines. Thomas offers to help Diesel get through the snow, but Diesel refuses and insists he does not need a plough. Diesel speeds along the rails and causes a snowslide. Soon, Diesel's buried very deep, but soon here is a welcoming sound; Thomas' whistle. Thomas rescues Diesel and warns him to go carefully in the snow.
- Diesel's buffer is cut in half and part of his bufferbeam is uncoloured.
