  • The 2009 DVD re-release is titled "Hop On Board Songs and Stories" when inserted into a computer's DVD-ROM drive.
  • This was the final US and Canadian VHS released during Wilbert Awdry's lifetime.
  • Some versions of the 2002 VHS cover are in a darker yellow than others.
  • Peter Sam and the Refreshment Lady comes before Bulldog meaning the audience may not know about Falcon and Stuart's new names, Sir Handel and Peter Sam.

  • This is the last release to feature Duncan's nameboard sequence. Interestingly enough, both stories have cameo appearances by Duncan before his proper introduction.

Goofs

  • On the DVD, when The Island Song starts, the beginning is out of sync. This problem is fixed in the James Goes Buzz Buzz DVD.
  • The 2002 VHS label reads 46 minutes when it should be 36.
  • On the 1997 version, the description for Bulldog does not have anything to do with Thomas and Percy in it, outside of Thomas telling Percy the story.
  • On the front cover of the 1997 VHS, 2002 re-release VHS, and 2006 DVD, Thomas' eyes are wonky.
  • While the back cover of the 2002 VHS refers its contents as "Our Song Tracks Are..." the 2006 DVD's back cover refers to them as "Our Story Stops Are..."
