- “The sea is cold. It's best to stay dry!”
Salty Gets Wet is a rhyming magazine story.
Salty arrives at the docks with some urgent freight. While Cranky unloads it, Salty decides to watch all the different boats on the water. Salty thinks it would be fun to be a ship, rolling about on the waves. Suddenly, Cranky drops a wooden crate into the sea. Water splashes high into the air and all over Salty who decides that the sea is too cold. He concludes that it would be best to stay dry.
- Salty is said to watch all of the ships, but only one of the vessels is actually a ship.
