Rainer Schmitt (born 1948 in Koblenz) is a German voice actor, who provides voices for the German version of Thomas & Friends.
He is best known for perforiming voiceovers for various radio plays and appearing in German films and television shows, including "Larry Brent", "Didi in Full Swing", and "The Blind Judge". He is also known for voicing Jack the Ripper from "Soul Eater", Donatello from the original "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", Fletcher Stone from "House", and Hidan from "Naruto: Shippuden".
- He dubbed over Alec Baldwin on the film "She's Having a Baby".
- He, along with Bin Shimada and Hidenari Ugaki voiced Donatello from the 1987 "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" series in their respective languages.
- Both he and Kōichi Sakaguchi voiced Jack the Ripper from "Soul Eater" in their respective languages.
- He voiced the title character of "Sherlock Yack – Zoo-Détectiv". Burkhard Schmeer, Joey Cordevin, Merete Brettschneider, Till Huster, Oliver Böttcher, Kai-Henrik Möller, Martin May, Lennardt Krüger, Anne Moll, Dagmar Dreke, Robert Missler and Jürgen Holdorf had roles as well.
