The Fishing Village is the main supplier of fresh fish on Sodor. The Sodor Inn is located here, as well as a small wooden platform for unloading goods. There is also an old pier nearby. Arthur runs the line to this village.

History and Operations[]

The fishing village supplies fresh fish to be taken to Brendam Docks, for shipping to the Mainland. In conjunction with the fish supplies from Brendam Docks, the Flying Kipper, pulled by Henry, also sometimes carries an extra supply of fish from the fishing village, which also gets delivered to the Mainland. Sodor's own fish supply also comes from here.

Once, an old steam crane dropped fish on Thomas while he was waiting here.[1] For a brief time, the line to the fishing village was run by Thomas again. It was later awarded to Arthur upon his request after Thomas derailed on an old pier and Arthur brought the train to Brendam Docks in his stead.[2]

Trivia[]

  • In the fifth series, there was a two-tracked engine shed located here. Since the seventh series, it has been replaced by a single-track goods shed.
  • Since the fifteenth series, there is no longer ballast underneath the rails, as they are built into the concrete.
  • The precise location of the fishing village is inconsistent:
