Trivia

  • Some copies of the 2004 VHS and DVD release included a postcard of a character introduced in the video.
  • This is also the only US release for several things:
  • This marks the last US release of two things:
    • The last US DVD to feature the Thomas & Friends VHS/DVD Promo from 2002, not counting the Take-Along DVDs.
    • The last US VHS to use the Thomas screencap from Saved from Scrap next to the episode box.
  • This is one of two US releases to feature seventh series episodes with original music, the other being Thomas and the Jet Engine, which would be released afterwards.
  • At the end of the feature, a link to the Thomas and Friends website is shown over a still image from the first series episode, Thomas Gets Tricked.
  • Gordon and Spencer comes before Emily's New Coaches. This could really mean that audiences may not know who Emily is.
  • The bottom part of the front cover is reused from Thomas and His Friends Get Along, albeit mirrored and with Salty, Harvey and Murdoch in Duncan's place. Moreover, Robin Smith's line, "Welcome to the Thomas & Friends DVD experience" is also re-used from "Thomas and His Friends Get Along."
  • On the DVD, a trailer for Steamies vs. Diesels is featured on Thomas' Gallery.
  • Sir Topham Hatt's Scrapbook is included on the DVD. Although it was taken from Salty's Secret, it also included the six new characters introduced in this release.
  • Upon completing all three games on the DVD, minus the scrapbook, Thomas' Anthem Grand Finale from 10 Years of Thomas & Friends is shown as a reward.
  • On the 2009 Lion Cub Films DVD disc, Spencer is shown without Thomas.
  • Thomas (on the bottom), Oliver, Emily and Sir Topham Hatt appear on the Maple Pictures disc from an image from Emily's New Coaches.
  • On the 2015 Double Feature re-release, Web Fun was removed from the bonus features section due to the drastic changes that occurred to the show's website between 2004 and 2015.

Goofs

  • On the DVD cover, Spencer is duplicated. Also, Knapford Sheds is not properly edited out from behind Harvey.
  • In Sir Topham Hatt's Scrapbook, Sir Topham Hatt mentions the time that Henry was bricked up in the tunnel, but the clip shown is from Something in the Air.
  • Writers Paul Larson, Jan Page, Phil Fehrle, Jonathan Trueman and Abi Grant are not listed in the credits.
  • Michael Angelis is not credited on the back of the cover.
  • In the DVD description, Jack is described as a tractor despite him being a front loader.
  • Although Thomas' Gallery appears on the DVD, it is not listed on the DVD back cover.
  • Alfie is misspelled as "Alphie" at one point in the DVD booklet.
  • The DVD booklet says that James is on the main menu, when it is actually Salty.
  • The DVD booklet says "follow the bouncing steam cloud" under Five New Engines in the Shed, even though that song doesn't have a bouncing steam cloud.
  • In the DVD menu, Salty is heard whistling and steam is shown coming from his cab, despite him being a diesel.
  • A question in the DVD game asks "Who is most likely to be down at the quarry unloading cargo from Bulstrode?" where the answer is Cranky. This is incorrect as Cranky works at the docks.
  • Spencer is duplicated on the Canadian DVD discs.
  • Salty and Mavis have whistles instead of horns in the DVD game, despite them having horns.
  • Thomas' number is duplicated on the Maple Pictures DVD disc and the half of the snapshot of Emily's New Coaches is cut off.
  • On the Universal reprint, the last few seconds of the credits are cut out.
