Michael Brandon, born on April the 20th, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York, is an American actor who has narrated every season since the seventh of "Thomas and Friends" for American audiences. He also narrated "Calling All Engines"', "On Site With Thomas" and "Engines and Escapades", and redubbed four episodes from the "New Friends for Thomas" VHS and DVD and his first three episodes with Robert Hartshorne's music on PBS Kids Sprout.

Brandon has appeared in other such television shows and movies as "Dempsey and Makepeace", "The Nanny", "Dinotopia", "Are You Ready for Love?", "The Division", "Ally McBeal", "Murder She Wrote" and "Try This One for Size".

He was first married to Lindsay Wagner. He later married to "Dempsey and Makepeace" co-star Glynis Barber.
