The picture for the South African release is unfortunately very low resolution because I could only find it on one DVD selling website. The picture for the Czech release is much higher resolution, though.
After finishing Thomas the Jet Engine, my goal is complete! All of the widescreen episodes of the model series Seasons 6-12 are complete and it was fun while it lasted listening to songs while getting screenshots from my UK DVDs and uploading them. Started with Percy's New Whisle on January and a good way to end it with Thomas the Jet Engine this month.
Thank you guys for your comments. I was my honor. Hide and Peep was my first episode to get every scene from my DVD. My favorite Season I had fun doing screenshots of was Season 8 episodes, learning segments and music videos from the season. Maybe because how classic, good, memorable and how good the color is the episodes were. My favorite ones I did was Thomas and The Firework Display, Halloween, It's Great to be an Engine DVD, better quality screenshots of episodes from the Tales from the Tracks DVD and the episode Don't Tell Thomas and doing Thomas Saves the Day was a good way to complete the season.
Thanks. I've been starting to get more UK DVDs this year. All Aboard with the Steam Team, It's Great to be an Engine (UK) and Peep! Peep! Hurray! Three Cheers for Thomas (Triple Pack), Tales from the Tracks (UK), The Complete Ninth-Twelfth and Seventh Series DVDs. The first UK DVD I got was Songs from Sodor on January 2016. The only time I'm able to do screenshots of the widescreen when I have free time at school or after school in 12th grade. I've been thinking that I should be an image controller.
I agree, you should be an image controller. But, if I may ask, where have you been getting the HD rips of episodes (such as Sidney Sings)? 1366x768 is quite good resolution (although it could be as high as 1920x1080).
I see... that actually makes sense. (I wish PBS would hurry up and air more S20) :P
There are actually some UK and US iTunes videos that are in true 1080p available on ThomasHDCenter's YouTube channel and a few other places that could also be helpful for HD images in case you need them in the future.
If I may ask, what episodes do you have from Amazon.com? I know there are some rare episodes on Amazon's digital downloads.
You would need internet to watch them, the CGI releases to watch are Creaky Cranky, The Thomas Way, Race to the Rescue, Up, Up and Away, Wobbly Wheels and Whistles, Trouble on the Tracks and the first 4 CGI Movies
Interesting how they don't have much recent stuff (by that I mean, nothing from S19 or S20). Oh well... it's okay. I have US and UK iTunes rips the three most recent CGI specials, so I guess I can't complain.
I just watched two Welsh DVDs with a friend of mine in Wales over skype (he's called TramEngineStudios on YouTube). They put Thomas, Percy and the Squeak on the Chocolate Crunch DVD in place of Faulty Whistles, then on the Brave Little Engines DVD they put Faulty Whistles after James and the Red Balloon. After Faulty Whistles they put Toby Had a Little Lamb and then skipped over Thomas, Percy and the Squeak.
