The Lorne House is an English bed and breakfast hotel, located between the Middle Hill and Box railway tunnels in Box Hill, Wiltshire, England. It is one of the former childhood homes of Wilbert Awdry, known then as Journey's End. He lived in the house from 1920 until August 1928, from the age of 9 to 17. As a boy, Wilbert would listen to trains go by which gave him inspiration for his stories in The Railway Series.
