Little Saucebox Thomas is the first German audiobook.

Plot[]

Thomas, the Shunting Locomotive[]

Thomas, the bright blue steam engine, is one of the smaller engines in the station of Knapford, but without a doubt the most cheeky and naughty one! Henry, Gordon, James and the other locomotives from the shed and even the boss of everything, the Fat Controller, all have their trouble with the antics of the saucebox, but no one can be angry with him.

Little Saucebox Thomas[]

Day after day, Thomas, shunting engine, does his hard work as shunting engine at Knapford station. But gradually, the endless shunting of troublesome trucks is getting more boring: Just like the big engines Gordon, Henry or James, he wants important jobs and wants to pull passenger trains all over the Island of Sodor. But until then, he still has a lot to learn.

Cast[]

Some people and Troublesome Trucks speak too. It is unknown who voiced them.

Trivia[]

  • The stories are based on the first series episodes, Edward and Gordon, Thomas and Gordon, Thomas' Train and Thomas and the Trucks.
  • Most of the music is composed by EUROPA, but instrumental snippets from Thomas and Gordon are heard in both stories, and the Engine Roll Call is used at the end of the second story.
  • Thomas breaks the fourth wall several times when he talks to the narrator.
  • During the audiobook, the Fat Controller does the jobs of a guard.
    • This may be because the Fat Controller is called "Der dicke Kontrolleur" in Germany, but a "Kontrolleur" is actually a guard.
