Lemberg

Lemberg was LNER A1 Pacific No. 2544 built under works number 1600 at Doncaster in 1924 and entered service in July of that year. He was later rebuilt into an A3 and during British Railways service in December of 1927 and became No. 60045. Lemberg was withdrawn from service in November 1964. He was also one of Gordon, Pretty Polly, and the Flying Scotsman's brothers as well as a cousin of Green Arrow, Mallard, Spencer, and Flying Thistle.

Lemberg was mentioned by The Elderly Brakevan in the annual story, Galloping Sausage. He also mentioned Pretty Polly, as both engines were siblings and named after race horses.
