Laurie Israel (born in 1974) is an American scriptwriter. She was an episode writer for Thomas and Friends. She also writes for other children's shows. Including: "Angelina Ballerina: The Next Steps", "Handy Manny", "Olivia", "The Fairly Odd Parents", "Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!", "Sofia the First" and "Elena of Avalor". She usually writes with Rachel Ruderman.
