Keeping Dry is a magazine story.
Stephen and Bridget return from a friend's house soaking wet, so Lady Hatt decides to go shopping for new raincoats, but when she goes shopping the rain is heavier than before and Thomas gets out of puff, so, at Wellsworth, he is put into a siding for repairs. Later, Stephen is tying his laces when his umbrella blows away, but Lady Hatt does not mind because they have raincoats. Thomas does not mind either: when the Hatts come to visit they discover the umbrella is stopping the rain pouring down his funnel.
