John Ogwen (born 25 April 1944 in Bethesda, North Wales) is the Welsh narrator of Thomas and Friends. He has narrated the series since 1986, from the first to the seventh seasons as well as the thirteenth and fourteenth seasons.
He is best known to British audiences for his starring role in the 1978 drama series "Hawkmoor" and appearances in "The District Nurse" and the "Doctor Who" serial "Revelation of the Daleks". He was also in "Blood Circle" and "Eldra".
He is married to Maureen Rhys, and they frequently worked together on various productions. He currently lives at Bangor with his wife and their three children.

- He, Michael Brandon, Glenn Wrage, John Hurt, Olivia Colman, Tom Stourton, Nigel Plaskitt, Simon Fisher-Becker, Kerry Shale, Miranda Raison, John Schwab and Tracy-Ann Oberman also all had roles on Doctor Who. Togo Igawa also had a role in one of it's spin-offs "Torchwood". Maggie Ollerenshaw and Jonathan Forbes also starred in an audio spin-off. Diego Brizzi, Tesshō Genda and Dariusz Odija also did dubbings for the show.
