Gwyneth Paltrow (born September 27th, 1972 in Los Angeles, California) is an American actress, businesswoman and singer. She is best known for playing Pepper Potts from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and her Oscar-winning role as Viola de Lesseps in Shakespeare in Love.

A SiF blog post has revealed that she was in talks with HiT Entertainment to take over as storyteller in both the UK and US version of Thomas and Friends starting with The Great Discovery. The role later went to Irish actor, Pierce Brosnan.
