Plot

It was Flag Flying Day on Sodor. Everywhere Oliver puffed, he saw flags, including the Sodor Yacht Club and Lord Callan's Castle. At the main station, he told Emily what he saw. Then the Fat Controller spoke to some of the engines. He told them that they would be very busy taking tourist specials all over the Island. Oliver was worried that with so many trains, the passengers would get confused. Before Emily set off on her school run, she spoke to the Fat Controller who organised a painting competition at the school. The headmaster selected the best paintings and the Fat Controller sends them off to a flag maker.
Some time later, the tourist's special trains were waiting at the station. To avoid confusion, each engine had flags attached to their funnels. Henry's flag indicated that he was going to the forest, Oliver's the pier, and Emily's the school run. Oliver was delighted with the flags that the school children had designed.

GoofsEdit
- Wouldn't the smoke from the funnels obscure and damage the flags?
- In one illustration, Henry is missing the red lining on his firebox and the yellow lining around his windows.
