Sodor Tramways is a company serving Great Waterton and other nearby villages. In earlier years, as road traffic increased, traffic on the Sodor Tramway decreased, and it was closed down.
Soon after the rediscovery of Great Waterton, the Sodor Tramway Company was reopened. Toby discovered the sign for the tram shed while taking some workmen. Flora is currently its only known locomotive, though it is known that other trams ran the railway before her.

- Despite appearing on the sign for the old tram shed, Toby does not seem to recognise it nor acknowledge being a part of Sodor Tramways. It is also shown in earlier episodes that he worked along a tramway between Tidmouth and Arlesdale End rather than near Great Waterton.
