Thomas and the Breakdown Train is a UK Treat Size DVD featuring six first series episodes narrated by Ringo Starr. It was originally released on VCD in Malaysia in 2004 as Thomas and the Breakdown Train and Other Thomas Adventures (Volume 2). It was released on VCD and DVD in the Philippines as Thomas Saves the Day. It was released on DVD in Italy in 2007 under the title A Troublemaking Goods Train (Italian: Un treno merci combinaguai) with episodes narrated by Angelo Maggi.

UK

James has trouble with the trucks one day, but Thomas is there to help out. The Fat Controller is so pleased he gives Thomas his own branch line.

Malaysia

Thomas, the small, mischievous engine lives with all of his friends on the Island of Sodor. They all happily work together on the railway. However, not everything goes well all the time and the little blue engine often has to face a lot of unexpected problems. In the end, they can usually congratulate each other on being Really Useful Engines.

Trivia

  • Although the episodes on the Philippine DVD use their UK titles, the front cover uses the American title for Thomas and the Breakdown Train.
  • Percy appears on the Malaysian VCD front cover, despite not appearing in any episodes.

Goofs

  • The Philippine DVD box and disc artwork said that George Carlin narrated some of the episodes, but Ringo Starr narrates the episodes.
