Thomas and the Baby is a mini book written by Christopher Awdry and illustrated by Ken Stott.

Plot

A tree has fallen across the line and Thomas cannot take his train out on time. The ticket collector has brought his baby daughter to work. The guard tries to settle the crying baby by rocking the pram and the fireman sings a lullaby, but the baby does not stop crying. When Thomas finally leaves the station, his puffing stops the baby crying and sends her happily to sleep.
