Trivia

  • The filedates of the 2006 DVD show that it was finished on June 6, 2006.
  • This is the first American video release to not feature Thomas on the original front or back covers, though he is featured on the spine.
  • The 1993 VHS is the last VHS release to use the wide cloud on the cover instead of the smaller cloud.
  • When first advertised, the original prototype of the cover used an image from Heroes.
  • An early release features an image from Pop Goes the Diesel on the front cover. The image is also mirrored and Diesel's face is edited.
  • An image from Thomas Gets Bumped is used on the back covers of 1993 through 1995.
  • Some Time-Life editions were packaged with a copy of the Thomas and Trevor Buzz Book.
  • On the 1995 Video Treasures release, the Embassy Home Entertainment FBI Warning screen is used before the Video Treasures logo rather than the typical Video Treasures FBI screen.
  • A prototype of the 1995 Anchor Bay Entertainment re-release has a grey cover instead of yellow.
  • The English audio tracks overlap on one version of the 1995 Anchor Bay Entertainment release. The overlapping restores music and sound effects originally not present in the US version of some episodes, including the owl's second shrieking noise in Thomas, Percy and the Dragon and a cut music portion at the very end of A Scarf for Percy.
  • Some 1995 Anchor Bay Entertainment VHS copies play in split-track stereo, featuring narration in the left channel and no narration in the right channel.
  • Along with the 2003 release of Trust Thomas and Other Stories, the 2003 VHS was originally copyrighted in late 2002, as evidenced by the Gullane logo on the spine. However, it was not released until February 2003, at the same time as the release of Percy's Chocolate Crunch and Other Thomas Adventures. These two VHS re-releases were the last VHS releases to feature the Gullane logo on the spine.
  • On the DVD, the yellow split after The Deputation and The Diseasel is replaced by a fade-to-black.
  • On the DVD version, the end of Edward's Exploit is cut out mostly to transition into the song that was added to the DVD.
  • The Starz version does not feature any nameboards and includes different title cards.
  • This is the only US VHS/DVD release to feature The Diseasel and Edward's Exploit and the only DVD to feature The Deputation.
