Trivia
- A green car with the registration plate "ICIV 101" appears in the Railway Series story Overloaded.
- The ERTL Dick Tracy black 1936 Ford Coupe was repainted blue as Sir Topham Hatt's Car. A red version with of Sir Topham Hatt's Car with whitewall tires was also produced as a ERTL Collectables limited release.
- The Wooden Railway line produced a standard yellow coupe as Sir Topham Hatt's Car in 1993. The prototype was originally green.
- In Series 2, Jem Cole drove a black coupe. In Series 2 and Series 3, The Vicar of Wellsworth drove a red coupe. In Series 3, Sir Topham Hatt drove a black coupe.

Trivia
- The Sodor Ambulances are based on this design.
- While the Van and Estate share the same basic design, the van in the model series has more coverage over the wheels and a different grille. The cgi model reuses the estate model without the back windows.
- A blue van at Drayton Manor Resort has been depicted with eyes in its headlights, similar to Caroline, this was achieved using adhesive googly eyes. However unlike Caroline, the van lacks a nose and mouth.
