The Big Bell is a rhyming magazine story.
Plot[]
As Bertie pulls up at a station, he rings his bell loudly before he departs. He then drives over a crossing while Oliver has to wait. Bertie sounds his bell again and Oliver blows his whistle in return. But Oliver's whistle has gone wrong and Bertie tells him to get a bell like him.
Oliver soon arrives at a church where he has to pick up a big church bell and take it to the works for a clean and inspection. When Bertie spots Oliver's bell, he cannot believe his eyes.
