Plot
Percy has to spend the night in the shed at the big station with Gordon, who tells Percy about the responsibilities he has to keep the railway running efficiently. The following day, Gordon has to push Percy to the water tower. However, when it is Gordon's turn to take on water, he cannot move. His valves have jammed, so Percy has to shunt him back to the shed. Percy feels that it is wise not to say anything at all.
