Povl Dissing (27th January 1938 to 18th July 2022) was a Danish singer, composer and voice actor who narrated the Danish version of Thomas & Friends. He narrated from the first series and to the fourth series, starting in 1996. He returned for the eighth series and later left after the seventeenth series. Lars Mikkelsen took his place from the eighteenth series.
Povl died of a longer illness, 18th July 2022 in his Home in Denmark.
