Percy's Poles is a magazine story.
Plot
Percy's job for the day is taking some poles to a house that was damaged in a fire. The builders are pleased to see him, as they are going to build some scaffolding so that they can repair the house properly. Soon, the house looks as good as new and Percy goes to collect the poles again. The builders are also given a ride in the brake van as they are going to Elsbridge Rovers F.C. to watch a football match. Unfortunately, they are delayed by a red signal and all the seats at the stadium have been taken. However the builders have an idea and - using the scaffolding and other building supplies - they build a stand that overlooks the pitch and the builders get their tickets half price!
