Friends of Thomas was an event held at The Workshops Rail Museum in Queensland, Australia from 2002 to 2008, before being replaced by Day Out with Thomas events. The event featured original engine characters based on the engines at the museum, and a Thomas replica model.

- When the event switched over to Days Out with Thomas the previously original characters would play established engines from the franchise, such as Monty playing Douglas, Marshall playing George, Gertie playing Trevor and Dotty playing Diesel 199.
