“This is your fault!”
― Mighty to Mac

Pulling Together is a magazine story, illustrated using photographs from the television series.

Plot[]

One day, Mighty Mac is puffing happily through the countryside. They are taking holiday-makers to the Mountain Campsite and must get there before dark.

Soon, they arrive at a fork in the track. Mighty wants to go left while Mac thinks they should go right, but it is too late; Mighty is already pulling them past the fork. Mac is very cross.

At the next fork they arrive at, Mac pushes Mighty down the right-hand track. Now, it is Mighty's turn to be cross. So, at the next fork, Mighty pushes Mac into taking the left track. This is the way it goes on, all the way up the track until trouble strikes.

Mighty Mac arrive at a dead-end. Mighty pushes Mac so hard that the train crashes into some rocks. The rocks fall, blocking the line. The coach derails too, but all the holiday-makers help to get it back onto the tracks. Watching the holiday-makers, Mighty Mac realise they can push the rocks off the rails if they work together and that's exactly what they do.
