Jeremy King is visual effects technician and model maker. He was a model maker on both Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends and TUGS.

Career

Jeremy started his contributions to the television series as a model maker on the second series at the age of 17. He made a cottage which was seen next to the Ffarquhar Stationmaster's House in Thomas Comes to Breakfast and also helped Paul Knight construct the model of Harold. For the third series King would refurbish James, Gordon, Henry, Donald and Douglas' models, he would also modify Gordon's dome for Gordon and the Famous Visitor. He would also help construct the model for Mavis.

On TUGS, Jeremy built Zorran, Puffa and a buoy and sculpted the faces for Billy Shoepack, Johnny Cuba, Burke and Blair. He also built a new hull for Zip after Chris Lloyd pulled him off the workbench, smashing him in the process.

As a joke towards David Mitton, Jeremy had created an elderly face for Thomas before or during the production of the fourth series.[1] This apparently sent Mitton into a laughing fit that left him on the floor.

He also worked on the third, sixth and tenth series. One of his last contributions on the show was a little steam-powered crane used at the Wharf. In 2022, he helped touching up Duncan's small scale model to prepare for display.
