The Whistling Woods is a forest on the Ulfstead Branch Line, accessed via the Whistling Woods Junction. Hiro's Hideout is located in these woods. There is also a waterfall and a small pond within these woods. It should not be confused with the Whispering Woods.
History
During one of Spencer's visits to Sodor, Thomas became a runaway and ended up in these woods after his brakes broke. It was here that he found Hiro.[1]
Toby previously had a fear of the strange noises in this woods, but Thomas and James helped him overcome his fear.[2] The woods have a woodland waterfall and are home to Thomas' friend, the snowy owl.
Thomas later tried to take a composer here to hear the sounds of Sodor, but was interrupted by Gordon with the Express, much to Thomas' annoyance.[3]
