Hawin Lake is a lake and station on the Peel Godred Branch Line, situated next to a forest and intersection. A viaduct is located nearby.

History

One night, while taking a goods train, Henry was stopped near the station (at that time long abandoned) by a red signal and a sign warning him and his crew of the unsafe viaduct. After spotting a mysterious light in the station building, his driver and fireman decided it best to return to Wellsworth.

The next night, Henry took the train back along the line following the viaduct's repair. This time, the trucks were spooked after seeing the crossing gates shut by themselves and the signal turn red on its own. The trucks caused the train to run straight through the crossing gates and into a landslide before the viaduct, where the trucks plunged into the ravine.

The mysterious figure who warned Henry and his crew turned out to be Old Bailey the fogman. As a thanks, Sir Topham Hatt reopened the station and appointed Old Bailey as the stationmaster.[1]
