George, re-titled George the Steamroller in 2011 and George meets his Match in 2015, is the thirty-second book in the My Thomas Story Library series.
Plot
George is working on the road near the Skarloey Railway and is often rude to the engines. Sir Handel meets him and boasts of his "steamroller wheels". The two soon stage a race, towards trouble.

- This book is based on the story, "Steam Roller" from the Railway Series book, Gallant Old Engine.
- At the end of this book, Sir Handel and George become good friends, which does not happen in either version.
- The Thin Controller appears not seen, but he was not introduced until the ninth series.
Goof
- In two illustrations, Sir Handel's siderods are not connected properly.
