  • This is the earliest DVD release in the US not to have been also released on VHS.
  • This DVD came free with some Wooden Railway Conductor's Figure 8 Sets. It was also available individually through PBS Kids' online shop.
  • This DVD uses the intro for the sixth series and the remastered credits for the first series.
  • This is the only DVD to have a cartoon picture of Duck on the cover.
  • This is the first US sampler/promotional DVD.
  • Both episodes included on this release are based on stories written by Christopher Awdry.

Goofs

  • On the back cover, the credits say "Produced by Phil Fehrle," but he did not produce either episode on this release.
  • When The Runaway begins, the opening ditty overlaps.
