Duck and the Deer is a magazine story.
Plot
Duck loves his job of taking passengers from all over Sodor to the Country Park. He gets to see all the animals clearly from his line. One day, however, the Fat Controller sends him to the outlying quarry line to help Toby with the trucks. Duck finds the line boring until he spots a familiar deer. The deer had escaped from the Country Park, so Duck collects the park keepers to collect the deer. Toby and Duck carefully lure the deer into a pen and finally it is recaptured. Duck does not find the line boring now, and neither do the other engines.
